A British visitor has been left stunned after paying nearly £10 for a pint of Guinness at a theme park Irish pub in Florida.
While many would expect higher prices inside a major attraction, the cost of a single pint at Universal Orlando Resort still came as a shock.

Taking a break from the rides, the visitor headed into Finnegan’s Bar & Grill — an Irish-style pub located within the park’s New York-themed area.
Designed to replicate a traditional Irish boozer, the venue is packed with familiar touches. From Guinness signage covering the walls to Irish flags and dark wood interiors, it aims to recreate the feel of a proper Dublin pub.
And to be fair, it delivers.
The atmosphere, décor, and overall vibe hit the mark, offering that cosy, authentic pub feel you’d expect — even thousands of miles from Ireland.

But then came the moment that stopped everything.
A pint of Guinness was priced at $12.25 — roughly £9.30.
Once tax and tip were added, the total climbed closer to $15 (around £11.40), leaving the visitor genuinely gobsmacked.
Even by theme park standards, that’s a hefty price for a single pint.
Despite the initial shock, the reaction quickly changed after the first sip.
The Guinness itself didn’t disappoint.

Smooth, well-poured, and surprisingly close to what you’d expect back in Ireland, the quality of the pint helped soften the blow of the price tag.
Beyond the drinks, the pub also offers a menu packed with Irish-inspired classics, including fish and chips and traditional comfort dishes.
There’s also live entertainment throughout the day, with Irish music adding to the atmosphere, alongside screens showing live sport for those wanting a more familiar pub experience.

It’s not cheap — far from it — but for visitors looking to experience a slice of Irish pub culture while in Florida, it’s clearly doing something right.
Still, at nearly £10 a pint, it’s probably not somewhere you’ll be staying all night.
