Pub & Social welcomes feedback that helps us improve our coverage and understand the communities we write about. This page explains the best way to contact us and what happens next.
What you can contact us about
- a possible factual error or misleading statement;
- a concern about fairness, privacy, attribution or tone;
- a broken link, accessibility problem or technical issue;
- a pub story, event, person or local issue we should consider;
- a useful source, document, photograph or first-hand account;
- a suggestion for making the site clearer or more inclusive.
How to send useful feedback
Email info@pubsocial.co.uk or use our Contact Us page. Include the relevant page URL, a concise explanation, and any evidence we can check. If your concern involves an image or quotation, identify the exact item.
Please tell us if information is confidential or if there is a safety reason not to publish your name. Do not send sensitive personal data that is not necessary for us to understand the issue.
How we respond
We aim to acknowledge substantive messages and prioritise credible safety, legal and accuracy concerns. The time required depends on the complexity of the issue and whether we need to contact sources or obtain documents. We may ask follow-up questions before reaching a decision.
Where feedback identifies a material error, we follow our Corrections & Updates Policy. Where no change is made, we will try to explain the editorial reason when it is practical to do so.
Respectful communication
Criticism does not need to be positive, but it should be specific and relevant. We may decline to engage with threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, spam or repeated messages that add no new information.
Story submissions
Sending an idea does not guarantee publication. We assess relevance, evidence, originality, reader value and our available editorial resources. Submitted material may be edited, verified or declined in line with our Editorial Policy.
