Be part of a useful conversation
Stay on topic, disagree with ideas rather than attacking people, distinguish fact from opinion and give a source for significant factual claims where possible. Do not impersonate someone else or create a deliberately misleading identity.
Content we do not allow
- Threats, harassment, stalking, hate speech or discriminatory abuse.
- Defamatory allegations, doxxing or private personal information.
- Content encouraging violence, dangerous drinking or unlawful conduct.
- Spam, undisclosed promotion, scams, malware or repetitive posting.
- Sexual exploitation, content involving minors or other illegal material.
- Copyright-infringing material or content posted without the necessary rights.
Respect privacy and safety
Do not publish home addresses, private phone numbers, medical information, financial details or other information that could expose someone to harm. Public figures may be discussed robustly, but relevance and accuracy still matter.
Moderation
We may review contributions before or after publication and may use automated spam and safety tools. We can remove material, restrict an account, close a discussion or refer serious content to the appropriate service or authority.
Moderation decisions consider context, evidence and risk. A visible comment is not an endorsement by Pub & Social.
Advertising and conflicts
Do not use comments mainly to advertise a business, product, event or campaign. If a relevant commercial or personal interest affects your contribution, disclose it clearly.
Reporting a comment
Email hello@pubsocial.co.uk with the page URL, contributor name, relevant words and reason for concern. If there is an immediate safety risk, state that clearly in the subject line.
Appeals
If your contribution was removed or your access was restricted, you may ask for a review from the same email address. Explain why you believe the decision should change and include any evidence that was not previously available.
Your responsibility and licence
You remain responsible for what you submit. By posting, you confirm that you have the right to share it and grant us the limited permission needed to display, moderate and archive it in connection with the service.
Changes to this policy
We may update these rules as the community, technology or law changes. Continued participation after an update means the revised policy applies to new contributions.
